WINTER HYDRATION
This year has begun with a polar blast from the North to the South from the East to the West in the United States. Keeping your skin protected is a must in ensuring when the spring arrives, you will emerge with “Radiant Glowing Skin ”
First let’s begin with drinking water. Stay hydrated! Drinking plenty of water during the winter is as important as it in the hot summer months. Our bodies are composed of 60 to 70% water. Water flushes out the toxins from our bodies, which can create skin problems. Did you know your lips will show if you are dehydrated by being chapped and cracking. Our faces are the last place that absorbs water, so we should double our water intake so our skin stays hydrated
Exfoliate -Twice a week with a gentle exfoliant to remove dead skin cells for your, face, hands and feet. Your skin will be brighter, and your moisturizer/butter can penetrate better if you don't have dead skin cells pile-up.
Moisturize your skin daily - Once you have exfoliated, moisturize your face with a slightly heavier consistency moisturizer and use body butters to help keep the moisture in the skin.
Sunscreen - Protect your skin from the elements. Do use a daily sunscreen if you spend time outdoors. Your body may not feel warm, but you can still sunburn.
These are just basic simple guidelines. Good news is, if you follow these rituals your skin will thank you for caring for it so much during the winter and emerge “Radiant and Glowing”
