Taking Control

Webster’s Dictionary defines “Control” as the direct behavior of a (person or animal); to cause (a person or animal) to do what you want: to have power over (something): to direct the actions or function of (something): to cause (something) to act or function in a certain way.

I think sometimes as adults we forgot how we waited with such anticipation for that 18th birthday to be able to make our own decisions. Somewhere between the 18th year and now we have slowly let “life”, as the cliché says, take control of how we live our lives.

WE do have more control than we realize of what happens to our body and mind. We can begin with small things on a daily basis that yield huge results;

When you grocery shop get in the habit of reading product labels. The FDA website has descriptive definition pertaining to specific nutrients. Here is a quick guide:

Calorie free = Less than 5 calories/servings

Sugar free = Less than 0.5 grans sugar/servings

“Free” = Food has the least possible amount of that nutrient

Very Low or Low = Food contains a little more than foods labeled “free”

Reduced or less = Food contains 25% less of specified nutrient compared to the original products.

Become chemical-free committed! This commitment will evolve effortlessly as your knowledge increases. Another small change that yields huge results is reducing the chemicals used to clean your household. Add Essential Oils to your household routine. There are numerous websites that have Essential Oil recipes for household uses. Essential Oils are natural and have been harvested from plants and flowers. How more natural can that be?

We know knowledge is power and power is control.

The next time you reach for that can of disinfectant, think... you could have used Tea Tree Essential Oil with water in a spray bottle and obtained the same results. Tea Tree Essential Oil is a disinfectant and 100% chemical-free.

Last but not least Smile. A smile can relieve stress, become contagious, change your mood, boost the immune system, lower blood pressure, release endorphins, natural pain killer, natural face lifter and Smiling helps you stay positive.
